As First Loved continues to grow, part of our sustainability comes with systems of organization. These tiers are just a reflection of the need to organize. We love and truly value each and every partner we have. So we wanted to take the time to write out how each gift impacts how we do what we do at FLM.
Our New Giving Tiers:
- Brick Layer: $5-24 a month
- The first Activity we teach in the Loving the Jesus Way training series is the Love Verse Activity. And we remind everyone: start small. Focus on memorizing one line, one phrase, or even one word. Meditate on that one small piece, bring it to mind every day. Even a very small taste of God’s goodness, consistently enjoyed over time, transforms our hearts, our minds, and our lives. The same is true for giving! Some may not think 10 dollars a month makes “much difference,” but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Faithful giving over time always adds up! Not only does it help us as a ministry to cover basic monthly expenses, it reminds us of one of our core values - which is that this ministry is for everyone. Your small gift, given faithfully, helps cover the cost of materials and resources for the participant who can’t afford to give anything. Our mission and message are for everyone - and you help us offer it to them!
- Foundation Builder: $25-$99 a month
- A foundation does not need to be extravagant; it just needs to be solid and reliable. The majority of our Sustaining Partners are in this category. Consistent and faithful giving are what make any non-profit organization viable, but especially a ministry that is dedicated to creating and distributing resources that are accessible to all people. The Foundation of First Loved is the New Command of Jesus - “As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” (John 13:34) This is the life-altering tenet that everything else that we do is built on. As a Foundation Builder, you are saying yes and amen to that foundation; that this is transformational, and I want to participate in getting this truth to all people.
- Framework Builder: $100-$249 a month
- Once a foundation is laid, builders put up the frame for the structure. People doing renovation work often talk about a place that has “good bones.” If a building has a solid foundation and a strong framework, almost anything is possible. The Framework of First Loved Ministries is the New Covenant that Jesus established by his sacrifice once for all. By his life, death, resurrection, and ascension, Jesus offered us all a new way of structuring our lives. A framework for more joy and less pain. Framework Builders are unique in their capacity to help First Loved build long-lasting sustainability into our organizational structures and big picture plans. When we can rely on partners like you to faithfully give generously, we can faithfully move forward in creating new and accessible resources to help people increase the joy, peace, and love in their lives, while decreasing the pain, anger, and fear - and who doesn’t want that?
- Formation Builder: $250+ a month
- A thoughtfully designed and carefully crafted house becomes a home when the interior and exterior become personalized to the residents. A nice building can be transformed into a place of worship when the form is built to accommodate and promote the function. Beautiful and ornate trim, custom stained glass windows, arches, murals, and more. These things stir up memories of cultural and community experiences. When we talk about Formation at First Loved, we are talking about the unique expression of the New Way of the Spirit, moving and shaping us to reveal God in our world. The way you experience being loved through words or actions is distinct to you, to the way your life has been formed by people and by the Holy Spirit at work in you. Our commitment to making this ministry accessible to all people sometimes looks like creating a “one size fits all” version of our resources, but accessibility also looks like specificity. Meaning, we want to create materials that are designed for kids, youth, and adults at different stages and from different places. When you commit to giving as a Formation Builder, you are helping us reach people wherever they are on their journey of being formed and transformed into the likeness of Jesus.
- Living Legacy: $6,000 or more per year
- In the parable of the three builders, all three were doing the same task when asked what they were doing: laying bricks. But one builder wasn’t focused on the bricks themselves, but on what they would become someday. Being able to look to the future, to see a vision of what can be before it exists, takes a special kind of person. At First Loved, we are dedicated to building a future where all people experience and joyfully express the compassionate love of God. Sustaining Partners who are Living Legacy givers are paving the way for that future today.
The message of the gospel is alive and active. The New Command that upholds the New Covenant that is made possible by the New Way of the Spirit is the very heart of this gospel! This new way of being human together that Jesus invites us into is the very good news that we get to share through the work of First Loved Ministries. Each Sustaining Partner is helping us share this gospel. Together, we are investing in and building the Church and the community we long to see here on earth as it is in heaven.
